Huckabee Candidacy Viable

An insightful post on RedState.com points out that Mike Huckabee offers a combination of experience and accomplishments unmatched by other so-called front-runners in the GOP primary. Here is some of the post titled "Huckabee Not A Longshot:"

Some pundits continue to mention former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s announcement of an exploratory committee as a longshot…this is not the case.

There is no other candidate as well rounded as Huckabee. As a former Southern Baptist minister, and leader of the Southern Baptist Convention in the State of Arkansas, Huckabee will likely have a solid grassroots base throughout the South.

Huckabee understands that stating “no new taxes” can only get you into trouble, and is a fiscally fair-minded conservative.

He has an executive record, something fellow social conservative Brownback lacks. He should be the choice of every social conservative, as his unwavering stances on abortion and gay marriage are unmatched by any of the other top-tier candidates.

Huckabee to discuss "future plans" during Meet the Press show
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Republican who is considering a run for president, is scheduled to appear Sunday on N-B-C's "Meet the Press" and will discuss his "future plans." That's according to a news release from Huckabee's political action committee.
