"New Man Magazine," a national Christian men's periodical produced by Strang Communications in Lake Mary, Florida, is endorsing Governor Mike Huckabee for president. The magazine has a circulation of 100,000. The July/August 2007 issue states, "...when it comes to character, experience and the qualities of a great leader, Mike Huckabee has them. "The article goes on to say, "His proven ability to cast a compelling vision, as he did while governor, that transcends party, ideology and class might enable America to unite and begin to heal, an especially important goal at this point in our history. Optimistic leadership could help restore people's faith in America's future. Huckabee also possesses the essential qualities for being the type of commander-in-chief America will no doubt need in the next president. "
The magazine's editor Stephen Strang writes in the issue, "A great deal is at stake over who wins the presidency in 2008. There are those running for president who do not share our values and, if elected, will contribute to the continual moral downward spiral. We want to start a new movement of godly men committed to making a difference by banding together to support for president "one of our own," a man with great credentials and leadership skills.... Mike Huckabee, a former governor of Arkansas, would make a great president...."
